Two of the three teams with only one loss in the Jayhawk West square off Wednesday night at the Sports Arena.

The No. 19-ranked Blue Dragons play host to the defending Jayhawk West and Region VI champion Butler Grizzlies at 6 p.m. at the Sports Arena in the first of two matchups between the two teams this season.

The match will be streamed live on the Blue Dragon Sports Network.

Entering play on Wednesday night, Seward County has a 0.5 game lead over the Blue Dragons at 10-1 in league play. Hutchinson (22-8) is at 9-1 and Butler is 8-1. Hutchinson and Seward County have given the other their only league losses. Butler's lone league loss was to Dodge City.

Hutchinson has won its last four matches, all league matches. That streak includes a sweep of then No. 12 Seward County on October 1 at the Sports Arena.

The Blue Dragons are averaging 11.34 kills per set, hitting .232 as a team. Hutchinson is also averaging 1.80 blocks, 12.95 digs and 1.95 service aces per set.

Freshman Taniya Golden leads the Blue Dragons at 2.52 kills per set on .224 hitting. Baylee Miller is at 2.37 kills on .217 hitting. Blondie Penaflor has a team-high 1.20 blocks per set. Perrine Blanc is at 2.77 digs and Morgan Harvey is at 2.63 digs per set. Andrea Serrano averages 6.73 set assists per set.

The Blue Dragons open a three-match homestand on Wednesday. Hutchinson also plays host to Colby at 3 p.m. on Saturday and Pratt at 6 p.m. on Monday.
