Hutchinson CC Sports Information
Sunday's one-goal loss at No. 7 Barton didn't cost the Hutchinson Community College women's soccer team too many rungs on the national rankings ladder.
The Blue Dragons dropped just one spot in the latest NJCAA Division I National Rankings to No. 11 on Monday.
Now 12-2-3 overall, the Blue Dragons defeated Coffeyville 6-1 last Wednesday, but dropped a tough 3-2 decision at Barton on Sunday, which snapped a five-game winning streak.
This week the Blue Dragons play host to No. 16 Kansas City (10-3-2) at 6 p.m. on Wednesday for Sophomore Night. Hutchinson closes out the regular season at No. 17 Cowley (8-2-3) on Saturday. Barton and Cowley play each other on Wednesday.
Winning two games in a row, Butler (7-5-5) returned to the Top 20 at No. 18.
The Blue Dragons have now been ranked in 13 consecutive ranking periods.
Iowa Western remains No. 1 this week. The top five teams in the rankings all stayed the same with Seminole State at No. 2, Tyler at No. 3, Daytona State at No. 4 and Salt Lake at No. 5.
