Hutchinson Community College freshman forward Katharina Marx had an eight-point week to lift the No. 13 Blue Dragons to a pair of Jayhawk Conference victories last week.

The Blue Dragon forward on Tuesday was named the Jayhawk Conference Division I Women's Soccer Player of the Week.

Marx is the fourth different Blue Dragon to earn KJCCC Player of the Week honors this season, joining Kaitlyn Edwards, Adriana Delgado (twice) and Jayda Wyatt.

For the week, the freshman from Saarbrucken, Germany, had three goals and two assists in two games played.

In Hutchinson's 4-1 win over Garden City, Marx had two goals and an assist for a five-point game against the Broncbusters. At Seward County on Saturday, she had a goal and an assist. Marx for the season has 10 goals and eight assists.

Marx is fifth in the KJCCC in goals scored and leads the league in assists.
