COFFEYVILLE – Sophomore Adriana Delgado had her third multi-goal game to lift the No. 16-ranked Hutchinson Community College women's soccer team to a big Jayhawk Conference road victory at Coffeyville.

The Blue Dragons defeated the Red Ravens 4-1 at Veterans' Memorial Stadium to improve to 6-0-2 overall and 3-0-2 (11 points) in the Jayhawk Conference. Coffeyville is now 2-3, 1-3 (3 points) in the Jayhawk. The Blue Dragons play host to No. 8 Barton on Wednesday at the Salthawk Sports Complex.

Delgado scored her 10th and 11th goals of the season to lead the Blue Dragons.

The reigning KJCCC and NJCAA Player of the Week got Hutchinson on the board early with she beat the Coffeyville goalkeeper to her right in the third minute of the game to take a 1-0 lead. Kaitlyn Edwards was credited with her fourth assist of the season.

Freshman Maria Azevedo gave the Dragons a 2-0 lead in the 42nd minute when she ripped a direct free kick from a left-side angle about 20 yards away into the lower left corner of the net.

The Blue Dragons made it 3-0 in the 65th minute when Katharina Marx made a strong run up the right side and slipped a pass past two Raven defenders to Delgado, who hammered the shot home from six yards out.

After Coffeyville broke the shutout with a goal from a corner kick in the 83rd minute to cut the Hutchinson lead to 3-1, sophomore Jayda Wyatt played a long ball the Marx chased down and scored in the 86th minute for a 4-1 lead.

The Blue Dragons out-shot Coffeyville 17-9, hitting 16 shots on goal.

Freshman goalkeeper Karsyn Slothower finished with six saves.
