Hutchinson CC Sports Information

TOPEKA – The month-long celebration tour for the national champion Hutchinson Community College women's basketball team reached Topeka as the Blue Dragons visited the Kansas State Capitol Building Tuesday.

Members of the Blue Dragon women's basketball team toured the Capitol Building and were invited into session into the House of Representatives and Senate. Each session had representatives read proclamations for the Blue Dragons honoring their NJCAA Division I women's national title, the first in program history.

The NJCAA Division I men's national champion Barton Cougars were also invited to the Capitol Building.

Capitol Building staff escorted both teams throughout the morning, giving tours before both teams met a took group photos with Kansas Governor Laura Kelly.
