The Hutchinson Community College women's basketball team looks to extend the sixth-best start in program history on Wednesday with its shortest road trip of the season to take on the Pratt Beavers.

The No. 2-ranked Blue Dragons (21-0, 15-0 Jayhawk Conference) and Beavers (9-12, 4-12) will tip off at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Dennis Lesh Sports Arena in Pratt.

The game will be broadcast live on Blue Dragon flagship station KHUT-FM (102.9) and sister stations KWBW-AM/FM (1450/98.5) beginning at 5:15 p.m. with Sean Boston (play-by-play) and Darin Dunn (color) calling the action. The game will be streamed live on the Blue Dragon Sports Network at 5:15 p.m.

Led by 23 points from Monae Duffy and a double-double from Madi Denison (11 points, 10 rebounds), the Blue Dragons rolled to an 82-60 victory over the Independence Pirates on Saturday at the Sports Arena.

Hutchinson led by four points after the opening quarter and outscored the Pirates 30-9 in the second quarter. So far this season, the Blue Dragons have outscored opponents by 233 points in the second quarter alone. The Blue Dragons have outscored opponents in the second quarter in 20 of 21 games.

Pratt dropped a 105-89 KJCCC game on Saturday to No. 12 Dodge City despite the 49-point performance by sophomore Princess Anderson.

Anderson is the nation's leading scorer at 26.2 points per game. So far this season, Anderson has posted eight games of 30 or more points and three of 40 or more points this season. Anderson is shooting 45.3 percent from the field, 36.2 percent from 3-point range and 77.3 percent from the free-throw line.

The Blue Dragons defeated Pratt 98-47 in the first meet this season on December 2 at the Sports Arena. Anderson scored 18 points in that first meeting, but on 6 of 23 shooting and 1 of 6 from 3-point range. Hayley Jackson led four Blue Dragons scoring in double figures with 17 points in that first meeting.

Hutchinson held Pratt to 20.0 percent overall shooting on December 2.

The Blue Dragons look to extend an 18-game winning streak against Pratt. Overall, the Blue Dragons lead the all-time series with the Beavers 87-11. The last win for Pratt came in 2015. The 87 wins over Pratt are the most against any Blue Dragon opponent in program history.
