PUEBLO, Colorado – Individual player Louis Galvin shot a 1-under 143 on Monday, but the score didn't count toward the Hutchinson Community College men's golf team's 15-over par performance in the first 36 holes of the Sam Proal Insurance Invitational at Walking Stick Country Club.

The No. 5-ranked Blue Dragons carded rounds of 296 and 295 in the first two rounds on Monday and are tied for fourth place in the team standings with Jayhawk Conference rival Dodge City at 591.

The Blue Dragons trail tournament leader and host Colorado State University-Pueblo, which shot 284 and 277 for a 19-under total of 557. Colorado School of Mines is second at 573 (-3). Fort Lewis State is third at 583 (+9).

Galvin opened the day with an even-par 72, carding three birdies and three bogeys. He had an up-and-down round in the afternoon with an eagle and five birdies and had six bogeys.

Galvin is seven strokes off the lead of CSU-Pueblo golfers Archie Wyatt and Cold Tenpenny, who are tied at 8-under 136. Wyatt shot a 10-under 62 in the afternoon round.

The five Blue Dragon golfers who are figuring in the team scoring, all freshman, had up-and-down days.

Micah Blowers is the top Blue Dragon at 1-over 145. Blowers is tied for 12th after rounds of 74 and 71.

Louis Ross and Harry Malin are tied for 19th 4-over 148. Ross had rounds of 73 and 75. Malin carded a pair of 74s on Monday.

Charlie Box is tied for 29th at 6-over 150. Box shot a pair of 75s on Monday.

David Razinskas is tied for 35th after 36 holes at 8-over 152. Razinskas opened with a 77 and finished with a 75.

The final round, an 18-hole shotgun start will be at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
