WICHITA FALLS, Texas – With three players residing in the Top 10 individually, the NJCAA No. 1-ranked Hutchinson Community College men's golf team is two strokes out of first place after two rounds of the Midwestern State Invitational at the Wichita Falls Country Club.

The Blue Dragons shot team rounds of 280 and 281 and are at 7-under 561 after 36 holes. The Blue Dragons are tied with Colorado College (283-278) and trail team leader Midwestern State (281-278-559) by two shots.

The final round will be at Tuesday morning in an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.

Ben Partridge set the early pace for the Blue Dragons with a 5-under par 66 with a round that consisted of six birdies and only one bogey. The Dragons also counted rounds of 70 by Harry Crockett and 72s by Blake Saffell and Cameron Rios-Ceballos.

Crockett was Hutchinson's leading golfer in the second round with a 4-under 67. The Dragons also counted even-par 71 rounds from Saffel and Dominic Clemons and a 72 by Alonzo.

Crockett is the top Blue Dragon player in the individual standings. The Blue Dragon first-team All-American is second at 5-under 137 (70-67). He trails leader Jake Dogget of Midwestern State by four strokes after rounds of 65 and 68.

Blue Dragon individual Cameron Rios-Ceballos shot a collegiate career-best 68 in the second round on Monday. With an opening-round 72, Rios-Ceballos is tied for ninth at 2-under 140.

Partridge is also in that tie for ninth at 2-under 140. After his huge opening round, Partridge suffered a pair of double bogeys and finished the afternoon round at 3-over 74.

Saffell is tied for 31st at 1-over 143. Alonzo is tied for 34th at 2-over 144. Clemons is tied for 39th at 145 after rounds of 74 and 71.
