Hutchinson CC Sports Information
Riding a six-game win streak into this week, the Hutchinson Community College men's basketball team stayed at No. 15 in the latest NJCAA Division I National Rankings, which were released on Monday.
The Blue Dragons reached to 20-win plateau last week and are 20-3 overall and 15-2, just one game out of first place in the Jayhawk Conference. The Dragons earned victories over Pratt and Cloud County last week.
This is a key week for the Blue Dragons as the season heads into the final stages.
Hutchinson travels to No. 9 Cowley on Wednesday at Arkansas City and will play host to No. 22 Butler at 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Sports Arena.
This was the 11th-consecutive week the Blue Dragons have appeared in the national rankings. They have been as high as No. 14 this season.
South Plains' unanimous stay at No. 1 continued this week. Barton moved up to No. 2 after previous No. 2 Mineral Area lost last week. Daytona State moves up to No. 3, Vincennes is at No. 4 and Triton is No. 5.
Four Jayhawk Conference teams remain in the national rankings this week with Barton at No. 2, Cowley at No. 9, Hutchinson at No. 15 and Butler at No. 22.
