Dodge City is off to a slower-than-expected start at 2-4, but has won 2 of its last 3. The Conquistadors defeated McCook on the road 79-75 on Tuesday in McCook, Nebraska. Dodge City plays its home opener against the Blue Dragon on Saturday.

The Blue Dragons and Dodge City play the 193rd all-time meeting in a series that started in 1935. The Blue Dragons lead the all-time series 124-68.

The team split games last season, winning on each other's home court. Aaron Franklin hit two free throws with 0.4 seconds left on the clock, which gave the Blue Dragons a 113-112 win last December at Dodge City. The Conquistadors returned the favor with a 104-88 victory over the Blue Dragons at the Sports Arena in February.
