The Hutchinson Community College men's basketball team had another tough offensive game Saturday night as the defending national champion Coffeyville Red Ravens defeated the No. 13-ranked Blue Dragons 86-71 on Hall of Fame Night at the Sports Arena.

Splitting the season series with Coffeyville, the Blue Dragons dropped their second-straight game and fell to 18-5 overall and 12-5 in the Jayhawk Conference. Coffeyville has won 7 of the last 9 and improved to 12-10 overall and 9-7 in conference play. The Blue Dragons travel to first-place Dodge City on Wednesday.

The Blue Dragons were held to a season-low offensive output for the second-straight game shooting only 33.8 percent (24 of 71) for the game.

Hutchinson had a 46-45 lead after a Cecil Lee 3-pointer with 13:43 remaining in the game. From that point, the Dragons were outscored 41-25. The Blue Dragons hit just 7 of 20 shots and committed seven turnovers in the final 13:43. Coffeyville shot 56.0 percent over that span (56.0 percent) and had just four turnovers.

Tied at 33-all at halftime, Coffeyville outscored the Blue Dragons 58-33 in the second half.

Angelo Stuart hit three 3-pointers and led the Blue Dragons with 21 points and six rebounds. Stuart moves past Josh Baker and Derick Drummond into third place on the Blue Dragon single-season 3-point list with 78 3-pointers.

Sophomore Kobe Campbell was the only other Blue Dragon to reach double figures with 10 points. He added four assists, four steals and three rebounds.

Jayden Hall added nine points and Zavion McClendon had eight points. The Blue Dragons hit 8 of 36 from 3-point range and 15 of 19 from the free-throw line. The Dragons had 20 turnovers and were out-rebounded 45-42.

Blaise Keita, who didn't play in the first game with Hutchinson at Coffeyville on December 8, finished with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Deng Mayar had 12 points and 13 rebounds. A.J. McBride finished with 18 points and Love Bettis added 15 points and four assists.

The Red Ravens shot 45.5 percent for the game (30 of 66), hitting 6 of 11 from distance and 20 of 28 from the free-throw line. The Ravens also had 20 turnovers.

Tied at 10-all with 14:49 to play in the first, Hall hit a jumper and added two free throws and McClendon had a jumper in a 6-0 run for a 16-10 lead with 11:53 to play. Back-to-back Dragon turnovers gave Coffeyville to take a 20-19 lead on a McBride layup with 7:36 to play in the half.

There were eight lead changes and four ties in the first half. Late 3-pointers by McClendon and Lee led to a 33-33 tie at halftime.

The Blue Dragons had three different leads in the second half, the final one coming at 46-45 on Lee's second 3-pointer of the game for a 46-45 lead.

Trailing 53-51, the Ravens went on a 13-1 run and led 66-52 after a McBride 3-pointer with 6:52 remaining. Jacquez Yow scored with 3:45 to play to cut the Dragon deficit to 74-65, but the Ravens used a 6-0 run to seize full control of the game.
