Hutchinson CC Sports Information

The Hutchinson Community College football team remains atop the latest NJCAA Division I Football Rankings, released on Monday.

Now 7-0 after a 27-18 home victory over Garden City on Saturday at Gowans Stadium, the Blue Dragons received 9 of 10 first-place votes with No 2 Iowa Western getting the other. The Blue Dragons maintain a 149-141 lead over the Reivers.

The Blue Dragons have now been ranked in 25 consecutive ranking periods.

With the victory, the Blue Dragons start a season 7-0 for the eighth time in program history.

Kilgore maintained the No. 3 spot with a 37-17 win over previous No. 4 Trinity Valley. Jones and Snow move up one spot each to Nos. 4 and 5, respectively.

The Blue Dragons travel to Highland for a Noon kickoff on Saturday in Highland.

Dodge City jumped into the Top 10, jumping up four spots. Butler dropped from No. 7 to No. 13 after a loss to Iowa Western. Iowa Central dropped its second-straight game and fell to No. 14.
