After scoring three rushing touchdowns in a Top 10 victory at Butler on Saturday, Hutchinson Community College freshman running back Tyrell Reed Jr., was named the Jayhawk Conference Football Offensive Player of the week.

This is Reed's second league weekly honor this season. He also won Offensive Player of the Week on September 5 after his performance against Ellsworth, a 72-7 Blue Dragon victory on September 2 at Gowans Stadium.

Reed, a freshman from Topeka, had his second 100-yard game of the season and helped the No. 1 Blue Dragons rush for a season-high 354 yards in a 43-16 victory at No. 10 Butler.

Reed ran 23 times for 117 yards and three touchdowns of 5, 14 and 25 yards. He is the first Blue Dragon back with three rushing touchdowns in one game since Dylan Kedzior last season against Butler.

This is the eighth different Jayhawk Conference Player of the Week award for a Blue Dragon player this season.
