ENID, Oklahoma – The Northern Oklahoma-Enid Jets hit a pair of home runs and pounded out 14 hits to snap the Hutchinson Community College baseball team's four-game win streak on Tuesday at David Allen Memorial Ballpark.

After tying the game at 4-all, the Blue Dragons weren't able to sustain their momentum and fell to NOC-Enid 12-7 in a non-conference midweek match.

The Blue Dragons are now 12-4 overall and will open Jayhawk West play at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Hobart-Detter Field. The Hutchinson-Garden City conference opener was moved up a day because or forecasted inclement weather on Thursday.

Trailing 4-0 after three innings on Tuesday, Tyson Vassart hit a two-run home run to right field in the fourth inning to get the Dragons on the board. Hutchinson tied the game at 4-all in the fifth when Cody Gunderson hit a two-run home run to center.

NOC-Enid immediately answered with two runs in the bottom of the fifth as the Jets scored eight unanswered runs in the sixth, seventh and eighth innings.

Hank Griffin hit a three-run double in the top of the ninth to round out the Blue Dragons' scoring.

The Blue Dragons pounded out 10 hits on Tuesday.

Gunderson was 2 for 3 with a double, home run, two RBIs and three runs scored. Vassart was 2 for 5 with a double, his first home run of the season and two RBIs. Jarrett Herrman also had two hits with a pair of singles in four at-bats.

Seven different Blue Dragons pitchers were used on Tuesday. Nic Perez (0-1) was tagged with the loss. Blue Dragon pitching combined for eight strikeouts.
