WACO, Texas – Kael Babin has his fifth career three-hit game and Colin Cymbalista hit his third home run of the year, but No. 11 McLennan scored nine unanswered runs in the seventh and eighth innings to complete a three-game series sweep of the Hutchinson Community College baseball team on Saturday at Bosque River Ballpark.

McLennan rallied from a two-run deficit to defeat the Blue Dragons 13-6.

The Blue Dragons fell to 8-3 overall and will play Coffeyville in a four-game series next Thursday and Friday. The schedule has been changes with all four games of the series at Hobart-Detter Field … 3 and 5:30 p.m. on Thursday and 1 and 3:30 p.m. on Friday.

After being held to seven combined hits in Games 1 and 2, the Blue Dragons racked up 11 hits on Saturday.

Trailing 4-3 after six innings the Blue Dragons tied the game on a Babin RBI single that scored pinch hitter Quinn Maher. Then Cymbalista hit a go-ahead two-run home run to center field to give the Dragons a 6-4 lead, their first of the series.

The Highlanders immediately answered in bottom of the inning. After tying the game at 6-all, Sam Flores hit a three-run home run to give McLennan a 9-6 lead. The Highlanders scored four more runs in the eighth to build a 13-6 lead.

Babin tied a season high with three hits to lead the Blue Dragons on Saturday. Babin went 3 for 5 with two runs scored, an RBI and two stolen bases.

Cody Gunderson, Cooper Wesslund and Jordan Tucker had two hits each. Wesslund hit his first triple of the season. Tucker and Jon Davis an RBI singles.

The Blue Dragons used four pitchers in the game. Cole Toureau (1-1) was tagged with the loss after giving up seven runs in 1 1-3 inning.

Trenton Roehler started for the Blue Dragons. He worked three innings and gave up four hits and four earned runs. Bradley Neill worked three innings out of the bullpen. Rece Wilson worked 0.2 innings.
