For the third time in five games, the Hutchinson Community College baseball team hit five home runs in a game as the Blue Dragons run-ruled the Sterling College Junior Varsity 14-3 on Monday at Hobart-Detter Field.

The Blue Dragons improved to 21-22 overall and will return to Jayhawk West action on Thursday at Garden City. The Dragons and Warriors will continue their three-game series next Monday in Sterling.

A.J. Mustow hit two home runs, including a two-run walkoff in the seventh inning. Blake Bradford's fourth-inning grand slam broke a 1-1 tie. Will Edmunson went back-to-back with Bradford for his ninth home run of the season. Jack Gardner added a three-run home run in the fifth inning.

The Blue Dragons tallied 14 total hits, including seven for extra bases.

Six different Blue Dragon players had two hits in the game.

Mustow was 2 for 5 with two homers and four RBIs and two runs scored. Gardner was 2 for 4 with a home run and three RBIs.

Cody Gunderson, Edmundson and Cole Hillman all had two hits in the game.

Sam Wragge (2-1) earned the pitching win with 1 1-3 innings in relief of starter Bradley Neill, who had three strikeouts and allowed two hits and one unearned run in three innings.

Jacob Hadden, Jackson Blue and Reed Scott also pitched. The five Blue Dragon pitchers combined for nine strikeouts.

Tied at 1-1 through three innings, the Blue Dragons broke the game open with an eight-run fourth inning. Bradford's grand slam to center field broke the tie and made it 5-1. Edmunson followed with a home run and Gardner closed the big inning with a three-run home run. The Blue Dragons sent 11 batters to the plate in the fourth and scored eight runs on five hits.

Mustow hit two-run home runs in the sixth and seven innings.
