Makenzie Cork is in her second season as the assistant athletic trainer at Hutchinson Community College.
Cork came to Hutchinson after serving as the head athletic trainer at Central Christian College in McPherson, Kansas.
A native of Missoula, Montana, Cork came to Kansas where she played volleyball, ran track and studied at Sterling College.
While working her way toward earning Masters’ degree, Cork was a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Sterling High School and she worked for one season with the Wichita Force Arena football team. Additionally, Cork has been a medical assistant in private practice.
Playing volleyball at Sterling College, Cork was a middle hitter with the Warriors. She was a third-team all-KCAC selection.
Cork is a 2015 graduate of Safford High School in Safford, Arizona. She graduated from Sterling College in 2019 and completed her Masters degree in Health and Human Performance at Fort Hays State University.
