EUGENE KINLAW2008 NJCAA FOOTBALL Turning in one of the most dominant seasons ever by a Hutchinson Community College football player, sophomore defensive tackle Eugene Kinlaw was named the 2008 NJCAA National Defensive Player of the Year. The national award is the latest for Kinlaw, who also garnered first-team all-Jayhawk Conference and league Defensive Player of the Year awards as well as first-team NJCAA and JC Grid-Wire first-team All-America honors in 2008. |

KADEEM ALLEN2014 NJCAA DIV. I PLAYER OF THE YEAR In the 2013-14 basketball season, Hutchinson’s Community College’s Kadeem Allen turned in multiple scintillating moments and dazzling offensive performances. Allen, a 6-foot-3, 205-pound guard from Wilmington, N.C. who signed with the University of Arizona, earned two national awards for that effort. Allen was named the 2014 NJCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Player of the Year and also the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Junior College Player of the Year. KYLE SIMONDS2014 NJCAA DIVISION I BASEBALL Kyle Simonds simply had a spectacular All-America sophomore season in 2014 at Hutchinson Community College. The NJCAA named Simonds as the 2014 NJCAA Division I Baseball National Pitcher of the Year, topping off the most accomplished season by any Blue Dragon baseball player in program history. SARAH ROTHE2014 NFCA NJCAA DIVISION II SOFTBALL Offensively and especially defensively, Sarah Rothe turned in arguably the best season by a Blue Dragon softball catcher in program history. Offensively she hit .378 with 11 home runs. Defensively, Rothe fielded .991 and threw out 35 percent of potential basestealers in 2014. |

SHAKUR JUISTON2017 NJCAA DIV. I PLAYER OF THE YEAR In 2016, Shakur Juiston led the Blue Dragon men's basketball team to the championship game of the NJCAA Tournament, only to fall short. One year later in 2017, Juiston and the Blue Dragons were NJCAA National Champions. Juiston's tremendous year helped the Blue Dragon sophomore win both the 2017 NJCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Player of the Year and also the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Junior College Player of the Year. BEN PARTRIDGE2021 NJCAA DIVISION I MEN'S GOLF Ben Partridge led the Blue Dragon men's golf team to a first national team champinship, and then he won a four-hole playoff to capture the 2021 NJCAA indivdual national title. Partridge was also named the Phil Mickelson NJCAA Division I Freshman of the Year. |

DANIEL BROWN2023 NJCAA DIVISION I FOOTBALL The nation's leader in quarterback sacks, defensive end Daniel Brown powers one of the best defenses in the NJCAA. Brown led the nation with 18 quarterback sacks and was third in the NJCAA with 23.5 tackles for loss as he led a Blue Dragon defense that was No. 1 in the country in scorind defense. |
