Hutchinson CC Sports Information

GARDEN CITY – The Hutchinson Community College women's track and field team scored in three events on a quiet first day of the Region VI Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Broncbuster Stadium.

The top placer in a handful of events completed on Friday was sophomore Hannah Schrock, who improved her national qualifying mark in the discus with a personal record of 133 feet, 2 inches. Schrock finished fourth in the discus.

The Blue Dragon 4x800-meter relay team placed sixth on Friday. The relay team of Anastasia Meyer, Sydney Grauer, Michele Gage and Courtney Baetz ran a time of 11:04.73.

Sophomore Patrisha Doll placed seventh in the javelin with a throw of 122 feet, 6 inches.

No Blue Dragon athletes advanced to Saturday finals in the 100- or 200-meter preliminaries.

Action continues on Saturday with field events beginning at 10 a.m. and running events at noon.
