DODGE CITY – Sophomore Hadlie Lowe netted a career-high four goals as the No. 15-ranked Hutchinson Community College Women's Soccer team defeated the Dodge City Conquistadors 6-0 in Wednesday's Jayhawk West matchup at Dodge City.

The victory completed a season sweep of Dodge City, outscoring the Conquistadors 12-0 this season.

The victory improved the Blue Dragons to 12-2 overall, 9-2 in the Jayhawk West. The Dragons are 3-0 in the month of October. Dodge City is now 2-8-1 overall, 1-8 in the conference.

Lowe's eight points in Wednesday's match was also a career high. Lowe ups her career goals total 34 and moves her into sole possession of ninth on the all-time Blue Dragon goals list. She also moved up to 16th on the career points list with 78. She has scored six goals in the last three matches and has 15 goals this season.

The Blue Dragons opened the scoring in the 11th minute when sophomore Aimee Maher bent in a cornerkick, which was aided by the wind that the Dodge City goalkeeper couldn't handle.

The Dragons struck again in the 17th minute when sophomore Dayza Hollimon passed to Lowe who fired a deep shot from 20 yards away from the middle of the pitch and scored to give the Blue Dragons a 2-0 lead.

Freshman Adriana Delgado finished off a cross from freshman Maren Lackey and headed the ball into the goal to make it 3-0 in the 37th minute. The Blue Dragons led 3-0 at the break.

Lowe made it 4-0 in the 57th minute, scoring her first of three goals in the second half when Maher zipped a pass up the middle with Lowe finishing at the net. Sophomore Julia Dias De Souza had both assists on Lowe's final two goals in the 63rd and 74th minutes.

Hutchinson out-shot Dodge City 24-7. The Conquistadors got two shots on goal. Both were saved by sophomore goalkeeper Madison Quarles, who improved to 6-0 this season with four shutouts.

The Blue Dragons have won 26 matches in a row over Dodge and are in the 27-1 in the all-time series.
