Hutchinson CC Sports Information

A 3-0 road loss to the sixth-ranked Butler Grizzlies Saturday cost the Hutchinson Community College women's soccer team two spots in the latest NJCAA Division I National Rankings.

The Blue Dragons (9-2) are ranked No. 19 in the national poll, which was released Monday.

The Blue Dragons are 2-1 in its current stretch against nationally ranked opponents.

Hutchinson preps for its fourth-consecutive Top 20 matchup on Wednesday when 12th-ranked Barton (11-1) comes to the Salthawk Sports Complex for a 6 p.m. kickoff. Barton is the second-highest scoring team in the nation this season.

The Blue Dragons are in the national rankings in consecutive weeks for the first time since 2017. Hutchinson has been ranked in three total polls this season.

The top 16 teams in the rankings remained the same, including sixth-ranked Butler and Barton. No other Jayhawk Conference teams were in the poll or received votes. Eastern Florida State (6-0-0) earned all eight first-place votes once again.
