EL DORADO – Freshman Hayden Keller led the 17th-ranked Hutchinson Community College Men's Cross Country team on Friday at the Ollie Isom Invitational.

Keller plus sophomore Carsyn Turpin Top-20 finish in the men's 8,000-meter race was enough to place the Blue Dragon men third as a team with 86 points.

Cowley won the meet with 28 points, including five runners in the Top 10. Butler finished in second with 46 points.

Keller earned his first career Top 10 finish with a time of 26:50.93.

Turpin's time was 27:36.40 for a 12th-place performance.

Freshman Christian Darrah finished the race in 22nd place with a time of 28:42.79.

Freshman Evan Avitia finished behind Darrah shortly after in 28th with a time of 29:37.31.

Freshman Tokiwa Armstrong came in 42nd with a time of 31:48.65 to complete team's finishing.

Next up for the Blue Dragons is the Region VI Cross Country Championship, which will be held Friday, Oct. 28 at Fun Valley in Hutchinson.
