Hutchinson CC Sports Information

WICHITA – The Hutchinson Community College men's track and field team had two players on an abbreviated Day 1 schedule of the Friends University Invitational at Austin-Adair Stadium.

Sophomore pole vaulter Simon Steinert was the top placer for the Blue Dragons on the opening-day of the two-day event with a fifth-place showing the men's pole vault. Steinert cleared 13 feet, 11 1/4 inches on Friday.

The Blue Dragons men's 4x800 relay placed sixth on Friday. The relay team of Andrew Holt, Aaron Geissinger, Caryn Turpin and Camilo Tarin ran a time of 8:18.0

The remainder of the Blue Dragons will open competition on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. with field events and Noon for running events.
