Hutchinson CC Sports Information

GREAT BEND – The Hutchinson Community College Spirit Squad captured three championships on Sunday at the Region VI Cheer and Dance Championships at Barton Community College.

The HutchCC Cheer Squad won the 2020 Region VI Championship in the Large Coed Division. Last year, the Blue Dragons finished second in the Large Coed Division.

The Dragon Dolls dance team also earned a Region VI title by winning the Hip Hop Division, an improvement of two spots from last year.

Daniel Schule and Lindsey Peuser won a Region VI championship in the partner Stunt Division. With a different partner last season, Peuser was the Region VI Runner-up

The Dragon Dolls dance team also placed second in the Jazz Division and second with Brevin Armstrong as a soloist.

The Spirit Squad will be competing in the NCA/NDA College Nationals on April 8-12.
