Hutchinson CC Sports Information

The Hutchinson Community College women's basketball team enters the postseason with a four-game winning streak and momentum as the Region VI Tournament opens Saturday across the state of Kansas.

By virtue of their fourth-place Jayhawk Conference finish, the Blue Dragons receive an opening-round bye and will not play on Saturday. The Blue Dragons will play host to the Coffeyville/Pratt winner in the quarterfinal round on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the Sports Arena.

The Blue Dragons finished the season 23-7 after Wednesday's 72-65 victory over Garden City at the Sports Arena.

As far as their potential opponents, the Blue Dragons swept both Coffeyville and Pratt this season.

Hutchinson defeated Coffeyville 64-46 at the Sports Arena on December 3 and 68-63 on February 8 at Coffeyville. The Blue Dragons defeated Pratt 74-57 on November 22 in Pratt and 88-57 on January 25 at the Sports Arena.
