WICHITA FALLS, Texas – The final round of the Midwestern State Invitational turned out to be a rough one for the Hutchinson Community College men's golf team on Tuesday.

The Blue Dragons recorded their highest team round of the young season on Tuesday and finished fourth in the 12-team field with a 54-hole total of 877 (+25) on the par-71 Wichita Falls Country Club course.

Facing tough morning scoring conditions for the second-straight day – the Blue Dragons shot 297 on Monday morning before rallying for a 281 in the afternoon round. The Blue Dragons, led by freshman Harry Crockett's 2-over 73, posted a season-worst 299 team score.

Texas A&M-Commerce – former Blue Dragon Nathan McCullough is a member of that team – won the team title by five strokes over host Midwestern State. Both teams shot 285 on Tuesday, but TAM-Commerce shot 4-over 856 to Midwestern State's 861. Dallas Baptist shot 279 on Tuesday to move past the Blue Dragons into third place.

Freshman Ben Partridge was Hutchinson's low scorer in the tournament, tying for sixth at 1-under 212. After recording a career-low 66 in Monday's second round, Partridge carded a 74 on Tuesday. Partridge had rounds of 72 and 66 on Monday.

Harry Crockett tied for 11th at 5-over 218. He had rounds of 74, 71 and 73.

Trey McCrae closed with a 77 on Tuesday and finished 22nd at 222.

Sophomore Charlie Crockett had a 78 on Tuesday and wound up tied for 46th at 229.

Cameron Rios-Ceballos posted his best round of the tournament on Tuesday of 75. He was tied for 53rd at 231.

Individual golfers Charlie Hilton carded a 75 on Tuesday and tied for 46th at 229.

UT-Tyler's Jeff Murphy won a three-way playoff for the individual championship at 209.

The Blue Dragons will play in Texas once again next Monday and Tuesday with the NJCAA National Preview at The Rawls Course in Lubbock, Texas.
