NJCAA DIVISION I MEN'S BASKETBALL RANKINGS - WEEK 3

The Hutchinson Community College Men's Basketball team remained in the top 10 of the latest NJCAA Division I basketball rankings, which were released Monday, being tapped No. 9.

The Blue Dragons were handed their first loss of the season on the road to Cloud County 90-75 Saturday in Concordia.

Hutchinson is now the second-highest ranked team from the Jayhawk Conference in the national rankings. Coffeyville leaped into the No. 6 slot, up from No. 8 last week. Barton and Dodge City, which were not ranked last week, are now No. 21 and No. 22, respectively. Barton received votes last week.

Indian Hills takes over as the new No. 1 team in the nation after beating previous-No. 1 and defending national champion Northwest Florida State 108-99, which is now No. 12. Salt Lake, last year's national runner-up, is No. 2. Odessa is third and Chipola fourth. Teams ranked from No. 20-25 either received votes or were not ranked last week.

The Blue Dragons face a quick turnaround to conclude a two-game road trip at Pratt with a 7:30 p.m. tipoff Tuesday.
