Hutchinson CC Sports Information

Freshman relief pitcher Colin Flores led a group of 10 Hutchinson Community College baseball players to earn 2025 All-Jayhawk West Postseason honors this season.

Flores, a freshman right-handed pitcher from Papillion, Nebraska, became the Blue Dragon closer midway through the season and racked up seven saves this season. Flores was second in the Jayhawk West this season in saves.

For the season, Flores was 3-0 with a 3.03 earned-run average. Over 29 2-3 innings, Flores allowed 20 hits and 12 runs with 30 strikeouts and 17 walks.

Four Blue Dragons earned all-Jayhawk West second-team honors. Outfielder A.J. Mustow, designated hitter Eli Duncan and starting pitchers Lachlan Rosser and Seth Ainsworth earned-second-team honors.

Outfielder Leo Griffin, first baseman Quinn Maher, catcher Anthony Mazza, infielder C.J. Reid and starting pitcher Trenton Roehler were honorable mention all-conference selections.

The 2025 Blue Dragons completed a 40-21 season this season, placing third in the Jayhawk West with an 18-14 record. The Blue Dragons went 1-2 in the Plains District Tournament.

A.J. MUSTOW – Second-team outfielder
The third-year sophomore from Sydney, Australia was second on the Blue Dragons with a .364 batting average. He had 64 total hits with 24 doubles – third-most in Blue Dragon single-season history – 11 home runs and 56 RBIs. Mustow also stole a career-high 11 bases.

ELI DUNCAN – Second-team designated hitter
The sophomore from Palo Alto, California hit .271 with 35 hits, eight doubles and 10 home runs with 34 runs driven in. Duncan was hit by pitches a team-high 16 times and he scored 23 runs. As a catcher this season, Duncan threw out 10 of 22 basestealers and had a .983 fielding percentage.

LACHLAN ROSSER – Second-team starting pitcher
Rosser finished his freshman season with the Blue Dragons 6-4 record and a 4.15 ERA. The freshman left-hander from Wollongong, Australia, worked 72 innings, making starts in 10 of his 15 appearances. Rosser allowed 57 hits and 35 runs. He struck out 54 and walked 28 with opposing batters hitting a collective .208 batting average against him. Rosser's best start this season with a two-hit complete-game shutout of Garden City on April 25. Rosser struck out six in that game.

SETH AINSWORTH – Second-team outfielder
Ainsworth worked his way into the weekend rotation and went 5-3 with a 5.04 ERA in eight starts and 15 overall appearances. Ainsworth pitched 50 innings this season and allowed 57 hits and 35 runs. He struck out 54 and walked 28 batters.

LEO GRIFFIN – Honorable mention outfielder
Griffin was fourth in the Jayhawk West in stolen bases this season with 25 steals. The freshman hit .336 with 48 hits, including 12 doubles and two home runs. He drove in 37 runs and scored 44 runs. He also drew 24 walks and was hit by seven pitches for .446 on-base percentage.

QUINN MAHER – Honorable mention outfielder
Hutchinson's third-year sophomore first baseman hit .299 with 58 hits. Maher had 14 doubles, a triple and eight home runs. Maher scored 59 runs and had 41 RBIs. He stole 16 bases. At first base, Maher was perfect in 418 defensive chances.

ANTHONY MAZZA – Honorable mention catcher
The freshman catcher got off to a fast start with a 14-game hitting streak where hit .648 over the duration of the streak. Mazza tied a single-season record for doubles with 27. For the season, Mazza hit a team-best .424 average with 87 hits and 57 RBIs. He threw out 10 of 32 baserunners as a catcher. He had seven home runs and five triples.

C.J. REID – Honorable mention infield
Starting the season at second base and moving to third midway through the season, the sophomore hit .353, which was the third-highest batting average this season. Reid had 72 hits with 13 doubles, three triples and nine home runs. He had 62 RBIs, which was fourth in the Jayhawk West. Reid also stole 17 bases.

TRENTON ROEHLER – Honorable mention starting pitcher
A two-year starter for the Blue Dragons, Roehler posted a record of 7-3 with a 3.88 ERA. Roehler won his last two starts, including a Plains District victory over Barton. Roehler had team highs of 72 innings pitched and 90 strikeouts. He allowed 62 hits and 23 runs.
